Young Ocean Explorers - NZ Schools Tour

by Steve and Riley Hathaway | Sep 08, 2015
We're on the road for 3 weeks for our 'Young Ocean Explorers' National Tour. During the tour we're talking to at least 24 schools and a few evening public talks as well.

Our mission is to get kids the world over enthused about the beauty and diversity of our marine life. You can find more about our TV series, books and other work here:

In our first 8 days on tour we have spoken to about 4000 people! Traveling with 5 of our family from north of Auckland to Christchurch in the south.

We are all absolutely loving the Summit 5 camper! The beds are really comfortable and there's heaps of well thought out storage compartments.
It's a lot easier to drive than I expected - with great power on the hills and handles the roads exceptionally  well ... and cheap on the fuel usage. In our first few days we did 600km and used 75 only litres of diesel, which considering the size of the vehicle I think this is fantastic.
The kids are  enjoying watching movies on some of the longer trips - which is an easy way of getting rid of the never ending "when are we going to get there?" questions.
This is our first family experience with a camper van and we're all loving it - thanks Wilderness!!

NZ school tours to the Young oceans seems interesting and mind blowing event. One must have to attend it with full effort also superior paper  enthused the young children about the importance of the sea life animals and their beauty and diversity. This is amazing life experience for them.
